Originally trained as a Graphic Designer, Paul first became interested in photography whilst at college in London.  After successfully graduating he worked as an assistant for several advertising photographers and gained experience in all camera formats, lighting techniques and making tea. From 1987 Paul worked under contract for several leading London architectural practices, including Jestico + Whiles and HOK International,  producing brochures and taking many of their photographs. In 1996 he decided to specialise in architectural photography and now works for a wide variety of clients involved in the building industry from architects and engineers to interior designers. He brings to his work an eye for strong graphic compositions and uses colour in a very dramatic style. His training in graphic design enables him to produce images that are striking when reproduced in brochures and magazines as well as sympathetically reflecting his clients work. Paul enjoys all aspects of photographing buildings and is experienced in recording the construction process as well as the finished product. He has travelled extensively and undertakes commissions throughout the world and his work has been widely published particularly in the architectural press. He is currently artist in residence at 30 St. Mary Axe ('The Gherkin').
